The PaPiRus is a new and inexpensive e-ink display, developed by British company Pi Supply, that is targeted towards the Raspberry Pi single-board computer. This display comes in three interchangeable screen sizes -- 1.44, 2.0 and 2.7 inches -- and is readable in sunlight. It can also remain on for long periods of time without power, and is especially well-suited to data-logging applications and outdoor displays.
The display is the result of a collaboration between Pi Supply and e-paper company Pervasive Displays. It integrates with existing open-source codebases, and comes with an array of example code and wiring diagrams for easy use with the Raspberry Pi.
With the small and DIY computing movement building up steam, the PapiRus display is sure to have plenty of suitors.
