This paper bottle simply named 'Life' is the work of designer Andrea Ponti. It was specially created for the half-year long World Expo currently taking place in Milan, Italy. It claims to be taking bottle recycling to the next step, differentiating itself from other recyclable plastic bottles by using natural cotton and recyclable paper, even avoiding any ink or glue that isn't favorable for recycling. The paper bottle is in a minimalist square shape with a green string attached that helps to carry it by the neck.
Ponti hopes that all the visitors to this expo will use these Life paper bottles in place of the usual plastic ones. She even suggested for the World Expo to have easily accessible water fountains for visitors to refill their bottles. Since the bottle is made of paper, its own life is merely a day. Visitors could probably receiving these bottles when they enter the Expo and returning them upon exiting. If every visitor uses these Life paper bottles in place of buying drinks in the park, we could expect a huge reduction in trash.
