Facebook has created the paper app as a standalone news reader mobile app. The new app will have content from 19 different sections. These sections will include sports, tech, pop culture and LOL. The paper app also has a ‘Newsfeed’ sections that will be the same news feed users are used to on the native apps. The new news feed will just have a new design.
Each different section will accompany a rotating carousel of images. It will also be equipped with individual cards and stories below the images. The paper app is specifically designed to be different than the app we are used to seeing. It has larger images and content cards, less like the typical blue trim we are use to seeing on Facebook’s homepage and other apps.
Users will eventually be able to choose whichever sections they want to subscribe to and all the content will be sectioned together for an easy read. The paper app also will have a preview section to allow users the ability to see what their posts will look like prior to sending them through.
