The paparazzi swarm, flashes go off from all directions, but this star is not worried. Why? She has her 'photographer sniper' close by, armed with The Image Fulgurator.
Invented by Julius von Bismarck from Germany, The Image Fulgurator (patent pending) could one day be an essential for camera-shy Hollywood celebrities. According to Bismarck, “The Image Fulgurator is a device for physically manipulating photographs. It intervenes when a photo is being taken, without the photographer being able to detect anything. The manipulation is only visible on the photo afterwards.â€
Bismarck's invention looks like a typical SLR camera, but apparently works in reverse, projecting an image from the lens on an object at the precise moment a built-in sensor perceives a flash going off in the proximity. The image or text projected from the Image Fulgurator then materializes on the photo take by the nearby photographer, possibly rendering it useless.
The video was the first public test using the Image Fulgurator done at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. The poor tourists have no clue why their pictures aren't turning out.
