Lightweight Four-Cylinder Superbikes

Ducati Will Release an Upgraded Panigale V4 in 2022

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has announced that it will be giving one of its most cutting-edge superbikes, the Panigale V4, a major upgrade for 2022. According to the company, nearly every aspect of the four-cylinder will be receiving an update with the aim of creating a faster, lighter, and more powerful model.

Notable upgrades include a revised aerodynamics package, new ergonomics, a more powerful engine, an upgraded chassis, and a new high-tech electronics system. As a result of these myriad updates, the new superbike will be the lightest and most powerful version of the model to be released to date.

In terms of power, the bike's new 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine delivers an impressive 228hp and 96.6ft-lbs of torque. The increase in engine power comes, in part, from the company's use of the newly available DP3 titanium exhaust system.
