Monterrey, Mexico-based artist Paco Reyes recently completed a few digital illustrations that in a few cases seem like something out of Hunter S. Thompson's 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.' At the very least, one could expect to see something like them amongst the posters or T-shirt designs at head-shop in the sort of neighborhood where Birkenstocks and hemp clothing are de rigueur.
The illustrations are more than simply psychedelic for the sake of being psychedelic though. They incorporate elements of surrealism, obviously in terms of the figures depicted, but also in terms of the composition of each illustration.
Figures and objects are strewn around the frames in a manner that pays no attention to such earthly constraints as gravity or proportion.
