As part of their reduced packaging campaign, some brave Lush Cosmetics employees showed up to work in the buff. Lush, which is known for their natural and fragrant products including the bath bomb, wanted to raise awareness about over-packaging products with a publicity stunt in New York City. Wearing nothing but black aprons to ensure some level of modesty and protect them from the elements, nude employees stood at two different (and busy) intersections at 12 noon.
The nationwide packaging campaign seeks to educate consumers about the pollution and waste caused by excess packaging. Lush aims to do its part by going packaging-free whenever possible. Currently about 35% of their products go naked, just like some of their workers today.
