The Pablo Gnecco Installation Senses and Responds to Motion

Nelson Street Gallery's display of artist Pablo Gnecco's 'Transient' installation is interactive in every sense of the word. The artist began by recording the creation of his structure, providing an up-close view of the intense generation process. Visitors can moreover experience the piece on a personal level as it is laced with a motion-sensing Kinect device.

As individuals come in contact with the beams of light, the exhibit ripples in turn with its outline of human contours. The cascading shapes fall in and out of the picture gracefully, allowing Gnecco's fans to become one with Transient if only for a few seconds.

Transient's spectacular qualities have been set against Nelson's 'Tangled Up In My Friends' show, featuring the work of Feral Child, Josh Feigert, Anthony Francis and more.
