Currently seeking funding on KickStarter, the Ownshelf app is hoping to bring the experience of sharing a book with a friend to tablets and smartphones. The way Ownshelf works is that for $20, you receive 10 years of unlimited access to their service, where you can browse people's personal libraries, store your own e-books in the cloud, and the best part is you can share and borrow books from friends like you would on a Kindle, with the exception of not having to be shackled to the DRM of any one ecosystem
