EarthCruiser, a company that specializes in off-road and four-wheel drive vehicles designed to help you get out and explore the world on your own terms, has announced the launch of the 'Evado,' its latest and greatest overlanding vehicle.
Constructed using the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter AWD as its foundation, the 'Evado' overlanding vehicle makes use of high-quality construction materials that are designed to promote longevity and help the vehicle tackle treacherous terrain without breaking a sweat. The vehicle also features some upgrades over previous EarthCruiser offerings in the form of bicycle storage and enhanced access between house and cab.
Lance Gillies, founder of EarthCruiser, stated that the company was glad to be able to respond to long-standing demand for an overlanding vehicle constructed using a van chassis. "Now, with Ford and Mercedes offering body-on-frame (also known as cab-chassis) AWD options for the Ford AWD Transit and Mercedes AWD Sprinter in the United States, we are confident we can produce true overlanding capable vehicles on a van platform," Gillies said.
