Global footwear brand KEEN and the USDA Forest Service for Smokey Bear, the voice and image of wildfire prevention in North America, have unveiled an outdoor-focused sandal collection. USDA Forest Service for Wildfire Prevention's Branch Chief Maureen Brooks spoke about the collaboration: "Smokey's mission is to spread the message on preventing human-caused wildfires, and this footwear helps to further that message in a compelling way. This partnership with KEEN will help spread Smokey's message to a new generation."
The sandal collection features the Smokey Bear image in KEEN Newport sandal models. The collection also features different designed patterns with Smokey Bear's face and hat on the fabric and bungee lace toggle. The sandals also include Smokey Bear's "Only You" line on the heel tag. The sandal collection also contains a multi-directional lug pattern with razor siping and eco anti-odor for natural odor control. Additionally, the sandal collection comes with a Smokey Bear shoebox with custom tissue paper. Portions of the collaboration will go to fund national wildfire prevention programs. The sandal collection is available for purchase.
