A kitchen is a name one tends to give to the room where food preparation takes place, but can you have a kitchen which is not defined by four walls? The Origami-Mi Kitchen does not even incorporate three, two or one spatial divider, but it does suggest a space that specializes in sustenance storage, cooking and cleaning.
In order to give this room its open boundaries, designer Olga Kryukova constructed the amalgamated furnishing from boxes mounted on a metal tube structure. The sharp sculptural units can be customizable to take a number of intriguing geometric shapes. The pristine white cabinetry of the Origami-Mi Kitchen is given a contemporary edge with the incorporation of angular lines, and lightened up by quirky wireframe racks built between the crisp contours.
