Hollow Cloud Architecture

The OostCampus Building Asserts to Citizens that the Sky is the Limit

It need not matter what purpose this edifice serves, for the moment you'd step inside OostCampus, you would be sure to feel inspired. A renovated early-90s Coca-Cola factory, this structure might appear a little more modest from the outside. The inside, however, is bright, white and cavernous, looking remarkably like space displaced by a big fluffy cloud.

Carlos Arroyo Architects' project houses social, administrative and civic services for the Bruges area of Belgium. It was designed to feel welcoming to all who enter, be they members of the public or employees. A broad atrium features fishbowl-style conference rooms, while the length of the OostCampus interior is enhanced with distinctive areas for sitting and playing.
