The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in numerous people being out of work and one platform, OnwardUS Coalition, is helping connect these individuals with retraining resources.
The aim of the platform is to be a "one-stop resource" to help workers who were displaced by COVID-19 go back to work. The platform consists of three simple steps. It connects people in need with essential life services like finding money, food, and shelter. Next, users can connect to retraining opportunities, and then finally to find new employment.
OnwardUS Coalition started in California and has quickly spread to include nine other states. The web-based resource was created thanks to support from a broad coalition of companies, foundations, and governing bodies.
