The Omena House by Danny Forster Will Attain LEED Gold Status

The Omena House by Danny Forster in Michigan is one of the most clever eco designs I've seen for a private residence yet. The Omena House is full of eco features, from recycled newspaper countertops to floors made of locally-harvested bamboo and a vegetative roof.

The most promising aspect of the Omena House by Danny Forster Design Studio, however, is what they call its 'Nano-Wall.' According to ArchDaily, this 15-foot wall uses wind for a hydronic radiant heating and cooling system that eliminates HVAC in favor of a geothermal design that controls the Omena House climate passively.
