Ottawa-based start-up Else Labs is gearing up to launch 'Oliver,' a robot chef that includes a recipe library to suit all tastes and makes it easier than ever for consumers to plan their meals ahead of time.
Unlike a traditional slow cooker, Oliver comes with a series of compartments that hold different ingredients. Following recipe guidelines after users select the dish they want from the Oliver app, the smart chef will change temperatures and cooking environments as it dispenses the ingredients into the main chamber, creating a perfectly prepared meal that saves time and reduces mess. With this innovative design, Oliver can cook anything from soups and stews, to more complex dishes like pad thai, risotto, jambalaya, and much more.
Oliver is launching on Indiegogo on September 29th, where consumes can access early bird offers by showing their support for the project.
