Old Forester Debuts a Limited-Edition Bourbon with King Ranch

Old Forester and King Ranch are releasing a limited-edition whisky that celebrates the rich heritage and hard work behind both of the brands. The ‘Old Forester King Ranch Edition’ is a Texas exclusive that was bottled at 105 proof from a batch of Old Forester Bourbon. The liquid was then transferred to heavily charred barrels and finished using King Ranch mesquite charcoal.

‘Old Forester King Ranch Edition’ is colored similarly to maple syrup, boasting scents of dried cherries, cranberries, nuts, and marshmallows drizzled with molasses. When it comes to taste, the expression offers notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and leather spices mixed with toasted and caramelized oak and nuts.

"Bourbon lovers across Texas are in for a rare and special treat that both whiskey connoisseurs and hardworking people can savor," said Robert Hodgen, CEO at King Ranch. "We’re proud of the product as well as our partnership which captures American history in a bottle."
