The OKES lifestyle bike is easily one of the classiest wooden bicycles ever created. OKES was designed by Reinier Korstanje as a sophisticated alternative to the glut of plastic and metal bikes on the market today.
Most bikes are designed using plastic or metal tubing for their frames. Kostanje believes that this limits the creativity of bicycle designers, so he decided to create a bike with a solid frame. The OKES lifestyle bike is made using four pieces of CNC-cut oak. OKES is a South African slang word for young people, which is the age group that this bike is aimed at. Korstanje's design can be seen in all of its wooden glory here. The designer is also taking orders for limited-editions of the OKES bike.
