Designer Heinrik Ng Chak Kwan created a modern office desk with nature-inspired elements. The surface of the desk is reminiscent of the Earth's natural topography, which users can organize their belongings on.
Chak Kwan made this desk in response to our modern disconnect with the outside world. Its coaster-like rough platforms make up the desk's surface, which are designed in proportions of five, 10 and 20 percent of the total surface area. These proportions are measurements that can be found in macro-sized urban developments.
With its rough and jagged exterior juxtaposed with its modern make, this office desk is meant to bring the outside world back into the work space, as opposed to segregating the two.
