British liquor store Oddbins decided to take an unconventional approach in its latest Christmas ad campaign. Rather than the usual sentimental approach, the spot centers around twelve chimps of Christmas, who break in to a store to give it a Christmas makeover.
Oddbins Marketing Manager, Lyndsey Gibbons, said: "The message in our video is simple: Not caring about Christmas is not an option. Everyone needs to give a sh*t and our Chimps in the video really make that point in the only way they know how – through flinging their poop."
Oddbins is getting a reputation for its unconventional low-budget Christmas videos and this year's ad is no different – when the unimpressed store manager arrives in the morning, the Chimps chuck their own fecal matter at him.
