It may have taken the manufacturers at Maersk three months to construct the world's largest ocean vessel, but it'll only take you 76 seconds to watch it being built, thanks to this mesmerizing time-lapse video.
With the help of the Discovery Channel, Maersk was able to document the entire construction of the Triple-E, a titanic ocean vessel -- no pun intended. During the course of the three month construction in a Okpo, Korea, harbor, 50,000 pictures were taken of the construction process. Those pictures were then stitched together into an easily digestible 76 second time lapse that makes it look as if the monstrous ship is literally rising out of the waters of the harbor.
Maersk claims that the gigantic ocean vessel is more environmentally sound than other shipping options due to its massive size. They claim that the Triple-E can reduce carbon emissions per shipping container up to 50 percent.
