The Occipital Structure Sensor is an attachment to your tablet or smartphone device that allows individuals to capture an entire object in its three-dimensional sense. The device is able to build maps, thermal design and industrial design to understand an object's dimensions and size, which can then be sent to personal computers or friends.
One instance may be in figuring out the dimensions of a room; typically, one would have to physically measure the room. With the Occipital Structure Sensor the camera is able to do the legwork for you -- this data can then be sent immediately to other parties for contracting work, for instance. Another instance may be in understanding if an object will fit in a desired space by simply capturing a room and virtually placing the object in the room. Moreover, the device is the first in opening up the arena to interactive three-dimensional games.
