OBRA is a brand new footwear label that came into fruition through the works of ALIFE founder's Arnaud Delecole and previous Product Director at Converse Davy Cory. The word OBRA is a translated Portuguese meaning of "a worker's labor" and the work of an artist." OBRA drops five new silhouettes that are each made up of canvas-constructed upper and traditional colorway options. Notably, OBRA uses an ethical manufacturing process and it shows through its partnerships with family-owned factories in Brazil. the label also ensured that a portion of its profits will go towards non-profit charities that aid youth communities in education, arts, and civil liberties.
The label's first collaboration is set with Red Hook Labs, which will donate $10 of each pair sold online to the organization. In terms of the footwear options, each one also has an exaggerated heel tab and comes with a tall vulanized foxing tape, all sitting atop of a rubber outsole. The soles also see an EVA footbed for lightweight and thermo sensibilities along with high-quality microfiber lining to round the piece altogether.
