Low-latency gaming monitors tend to clock in at about 30 inches, but this is about to change thanks to the reveal of the Nvidia BFGD. The BFGD, or Big Format Gaming Display, is a gaming-specific monitor made by Nvidia that comes in at 65 inches, a native 120Hz refresh rate and 4K HDR capabilities. Like most gaming computer monitors, the BFGD is a low-latency display with low response time and a high refresh rate—these factors are often the determining factors behind a gaming monitor and a standard computer monitor or TV. Nvidia claims that the monitor is "highly responsive, smooth, tear-free, immersive gaming experience unmatched by any display of this size."
On top of the massive display size and impressive specifications, the BFGD will come equipped with Nvidia Shield. The software included with the monitor will provide users with Android powered TV, Google Assistant, 4K HDR streaming of Netflix, NAS access, Kodi support, Plex server capability and much more. The BFGD will come bundled with the Shield remote and game controller, the latter of which with have a far-field mic for Google Assistant support. The Nvidia BFGD was first shown at CES 2018 and will be released in the summer of 2018.
