Jannicke Kråkvik and Alessandro D'Orazio of design firm Kråkvik&D'Orazio are the curators of this furniture exhibit that spotlights sustainability-focused Norwegian designs. The event boasts the work of 21 designers and the collection heavily references the importance of the circular economy. The items are to be exhibited during Milan Design Week.
The Norwegian design objects presented "highlight the economic and social dimensions of circular design." The concept of the event is heavily oriented toward honoring the planet and preserving depleting resources. Each presented object needed to satisfy at least one requirement of the circular economy — to give back in some shape or form, whether that be "through longevity, decomposability or the way in which [the object] is produced."
The exhibit is appropriately dubbed 'Norwegian Presence' and it will run between the 9th and 14th of April.
