These incredibly detailed Nintendo-themed Air Jordan's are any gamer's dream.
As a follow up to the "Super Nintendo" kicks that hit the market earlier this year, 'Freaker Sneaks' designed the "NES" shoes as an homage to to one of the earliest home gaming consoles. The shoes retained the classic Air Jordan look with a white base and accentuating black and red detailing. The NES-inspired shoes feature minor modifications such as Super Mario and Duck Hunt labels printed on the shoe's tongues, a hang tag which is re-imagined as a Nintendo cartridge, and a D-pad on the heel of the shoe which is actually pressable. According to the Freaker Sneaks website, only 10 pairs of these custom Nintendo-themed Air Jordans exist.
These shoes would speak to aging millennials who are increasingly nostalgic of 90s culture.
