Turing Introduces Segway Robots That Allow for Passengers

Nimbo is a security segway robot that was introduced at the 2018 CES convention recently in Las Vegas. It installed a "Ride-on Mode" installed that allows users to become a passenger on Nimbo and travel up to the speed of 11 miles per hour. The segway robot is created to patrol settings and emit warnings with audio and visual effects if any danger were to arise. It does so through its computer vision, which then enables those around to take action in accordance to the recognized danger that Nimbo detected.

The segway robot is designed to conquer harsh pavement grounds and speed bumps. Its thin body, built at 25 inches wide, is capable of travelling between narrow pathways. Another advantage that Nimbo has is that it operates 24 hours, providing constant video. This technology can be implemented into already existing security systems, connect to drones and hold added sensors, so there is a lot of room to expand from the base model.
