Niloo by Khodi Feiz of Feiz Design, a firm based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is a chic chair with a bit of a cartoonish personality. Soft and rounded, squat and wide, it's hard not to associate it with playful tendencies. Yet the simplicity of the design also makes it very sophisticated, perfect for young, modern homes.
Created for Artifort, Niloo by Khodi Feiz also boasts a unique construction. It is made out of two distinct pieces that intersect in the center in order to stand upright and hold a person's weight. Of course, the two foam molded upholstered parts fit seamlessly together to appear as those they are one. Interestingly, the construction of Niloo was inspired by the archetypical two-part African chair from the Congo region, with a contemporary twist, of course.
