The Nike P-ROD 8 is a skateboarding shoe that reflects ace Nike skateboarder Paul Rodriguez' deep respect for Nike's iconic basketball sneakers. Rodriguez was the first Nike skateboarder to get a Nike SB signature shoe, and over the years the P-ROD collection has continually pushed the boundaries, as has Rodriguez in his legendeary career. Like its predecessors, the P-ROD 8 relies on a fundamental and pure skateboarding form but also encourages the wearer to push their boundaries.
The Nike P-ROD 8 is equipped with 360 degrees of Nike Lunarlon impact protection, making the show highly lightweight, responsive and well-cushioned while allowing skaters a good feel for their board. The shoes have a Hyperscreen+ traction layer for improved durability, while the use of dynamic Nike Flywire cables allow for an adaptive fit. The shoe's unique outsole traction pattern offers a secure grip for skaters pulling off flicks, flips and other tricks.
The Nike P-ROD 8 will be available starting June 21 -- International Go Skateboarding Day -- at select Nike SB retailers and the Nike website.
