The Nike Pre Montreal Racers are Fit for the Track and the Street

The Nike Pre Montreal Racer is back this October in two colorways: slate and brown. The sneaker combines both suede and quilt upon the upper, an ode to the original model.

The Nike Pre Montreal Racer was first released in 1976 as a pro model for track superstar Steve Prefontaine. Since the 1970s, the sneaker has been re-issued several times in a variety of different colors. This particular release features a slate and gold colorway, alongside a brown and orange pair. Besides suede and quilt, the sneakers include a mesh-lined foam interior, a waffle back-heel and cotton laces.

This model has been noted as one of the greatest sneakers in Nike history, particularly for its longevity and for the blend in materials that are particularly 'modern' by today's fashion standards.
