Nik Bentel, a leading young designer, is launching a new purse that has plenty of charm - it is a purse made from a pasta box. The idea came to the designer during the COVID-19 lockdown, where he cooked himself numerous bowls of penne. The Pasta Bag can be seen as an irreverent take on the past year of quarantine and is a reimagination of such a mundane object.
The box is meant to inspire thought and reflection, and make people realize that creativity and originality can come from ordinary items. The bag is made of leather and uses UV printing technology to transpose the Barilla pasta logo.
The bag will be available on the Nik Bentel website and is a limited edition piece. The Pasta Big retails for USD 199.
