Toyota Launches 2010 Prius

Toyota launched the 3rd generation Prius hybrid sedan this morning at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Top new specs include mileage of 50 MPG (beating the 2nd generation 46 MPG), has a zero-to-60 time of 9.8 seconds, and a very low coefficient of drag.

The new Prius is 90% newly-developed and the body has been tweaked. Compared with the 2nd generation, the roof was elongated and the back of the vehicle has a new look. Now that over one million Prius vehicles are on the road, this is just the next step in one of Toyota’s many successes.
