Azizi Developments, based in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is spearheading the construction of a brand new skyscraper that could eventually lay claim to being the second-tallest building in the world.
The 'Burj Azizi' building, which is being constructed via a not-modest budget of $1.5 billion, could potentially hit heights in excess of 679 meters. The building itself will be sheathed in a glazed exterior and will contain a vertically designed mall, opulent luxuries, a seven-star hotel and an observation deck that will offer stunning views of the surrounding area.
Dubai is clearly no stranger when it comes to witnessing and constructing spectacularly tall buildings, with the advent of the 'Burj Azizi' set to capture many eyeballs due to its historic height and stunning appearance. "With Dubai having given my family and I so much – safety and abundance of opportunities – this tower, which will be the second tallest, is our way of giving back to this emirate and its remarkably hospitable and welcoming people," said Azizi Developments chairman Mirwais Azizi in a statement.
