Popular sanitary brand Toto revealed the 'Neorest 750H' at CES 2016, showing consumers and insiders its innovative self-cleaning toilet. The Smart toilet is able to recognize a person's presence and is equipped with odor-controlling capabilities. Most impressively however, Toto proclaims the toilet only needs a thorough cleaning once a year, with the apparatus maintaining high hygienic standards on its own.
The Neorest 750H was achieved by integrating Actilight technology which uses UV light together with photocatalytic coating to eliminate visible and invisible waste. Additional features include an auto open/close lid, with flush-on-close technologies, a pulsing water spray for comfort washing and an adjustable heated seat. The Neorest 750H may be a precursor to intuitive toilets we will see in the future.
