NECTAR is the brainchild of Polish designer Oskar Zieta and Taiwanese-American visual artist James Jean. The two combined their unique talents to create an engraved steel structure. Both artists have an affinity for organic and fluid lines, which they incorporated into the piece to symbolize their collaboration.
The Mirror-polished steel structure is decorated in intricately engraved illustrations. Viewers can look for the depicted exotic flowers, bold leaves, and tropical birds on the piece's reflective surface. The sculpture's hard steel TAFLA O3 mirror is balanced with the softness of its illustrations, creating a peaceful contrast. NECTAR's fractal shapes take the viewer on a visual journey. The engraved mirror was on view at the JingArt Beijing 2021 Fair with Gallery All.
