The mind-bending lunacy of the classic Japanese children's film 'My Neighbor Totoro' comes to life with this functioning LEGO Catbus from the film.
The replica from Hayao Miyazaki's film replicates the running cat appendages that the Catbus used instead of wheels in the film. In the movie, the Catbus is used by the main heroine to transport her and her fluffy best friend to lands of imagination. Since LEGO can accomplish a similar goal in a way, it's not only really cool that this LEGO replica exists, but strangely ironic too.
The 'My Neighbor Totoro' replica was made by Japanese LEGO builder Tomoyuki Wakata, also known as LEGOROBO on his Flickr account. His website is loaded with all sorts of kooky LEGO creations, but you might have some trouble navigating it if you don't speak Japanese.
