Music streaming social network Whyd recently released their iOS app, offering a new source for music curation on the go. Unlike other music streaming apps, Whyd has a bookmarking feature that allows you to save tracks from a variety of online sources to listen to later. Currently it supports music from YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Dailymotion, Bandcamp and MP3 embeds. The desktop version also supports Deezer. In the future the app will not only add this source, but will also be compatible with Spotify and Apple Beats.
By combining the app and the desktop version, the Paris-based startup company hopes to create a thriving music streaming social network that enables music lovers to not only discover new tracks, but to connect with each other.
