Moon-Replicating Installations

'The Museum of Moon' is Set to Descend Over London, England

Visitors of London, England will be able to add the moon to their list of must-see attractions with the introduction of 'The Museum of Moon,' a 23-foot tall replica that was designed using NASA's photographs.

This stunning instillation was created by British artist Luke Jerram as part of the annual London Festival of Architecture. The inflatable moon will descend over London's Greenwich Park with an accompanied soundtrack featuring the "archival audio from moon landings, created by the composer Dan Jones." Each centimeter of the installation represents 5km of the moon's actual surface, outlining the impossibly vast surface.

This installation will temporarily transform the city, and invites guests to ponder the ways in which the moon has impacted culture both socially and historically, while providing the opportunity to gaze upon this surreal art piece.
