Many rap fans have surely watched a freestyle video that made them marvel at a 15 minute long session, but LA rapper Murs is making those ciphers look like child's play with his newest record-setting stunt. Rather than measuring the rap session in minutes, Murs will rap for 25 hours to achieve the Guinness Book of World Records' achievement for longest rap session.
Murs' feat is being broadcast live on YouTube, with the rapper spitting bars in front of a green screen image of hands counting the time spent to that point. Though an impressive personal feat in and of itself, Murs is getting some help via a sponsorship from Boost Mobile. Fittingly, the rap marathon is part of Boost's campaign to advertise its new Unlimited Music Streaming service for its customers.
