Mummification by Marussiac is an Art Installation with a Message

Mummification is the name of this exceptional work by Marussiac. Marussiac is a multimedia artist who mostly creates digital and virtual work, but his Mummification project was created using tangible, material objects. The main idea of the art installation is to, according to the artist, "mummify the world of childhood." The project includes actual mummified plush toys; each is a special installation mummified by the ancient calcification process.

First, Marussiac arranged the pieces to look as though they were left as is by children, with toys scattered around a room. When everything is ready, he starts the process of calcification. Ultimately, the Mummification project provides a narrative of the death of innocence and lost childhood.
