Auckland Airport has unveiled plans for it to open a multi-retailer digital mall.
This omni-channel commercial platform will launch in 2018 and will allow passengers to purchase goods from multiple retailers in a single transaction. Passengers will be able to collect their goods from a single collection point in the airport. This multi-retailer digital mall will also allow international guests to complete a transaction and collect their goods at a time convenient for them. Eventually all of the airport's retailers will be able to participate in this program and in time the newly launched 'Strata Club' loyalty program will be implemented into the digital mall.
To bring this project to life, Auckland Airport has teamed up with the creators of Frankfurt Airport's 'OM³ platform,' AOE. This partnership means Auckland Airports, multi-retailer digital mall will be available online and via mobile devices.
