I have fallen in love with the amazing installation work of Swedish artist Gunilla Klingberg. She has recently been invited to be this year’s guest artist at Bonniers Konsthall in Stockholm. Here she will present both new and re-workings of older pieces--anything from sculptures and installations to wall paintings and projections.
Klingberg’s work takes up large spaces, where she creates incredible landscapes that juxtapose consumerism with spirituality and use simple design with Eastern symbols. Monumental glass façades are often morphed with different logotypes. In her work "Cosmic Matter," high scaffolding, tape and dreamcatchers meet the moon in a sparkling universe, commenting on multinational companies who wanting to colonize the moon.
