H-E-B has announced it's honoring the Month of the Military Child this April as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations for its Operation Appreciation program. The grocer will be supporting nonprofits focused on providing outreach to military children and their families across Texas with more than $300,000 going towards the Military Child Education Coalition and the Gratitude Initiative. The brand is also supporting the Comfort Crew for Military Kids, which focuses on engaging educational presentations tailored for the challenges military life can bring with it.
H-E-B Group VP of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs Winell Herron spoke on the various Month of the Military Child initiatives saying, "Along with our brave military service members, their children also make sacrifices in service to our nation, and H-E-B is proud to support their growth and honor their courage and strength."
