A team of designers and art directors collaborated with ‘PANTONE’ to create the ‘Monsoon Project.’ In keeping with the project’s title, the team created street murals that only appear after a heavy rainfall.
The unique project was designed to bring a bright and uplifting collection of images to the otherwise gloomy streets of Seoul Korea during its rainy season. The team used Hydrochromic paint, which contains an invisibility property until it gets wet.
The Monsoon Project reflects "the importance of the flow of the river" by creating murals of the streams, fish and surrounding nature of the water. While rain might feel like a dreary weather element, the citizens in Seoul can now look forward to the rain because it will bring such bright and playful imagery along with it.
