Geometric beauty and quiet hues with quaint splashes of color are the focus for the Moe Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
Russian designer Aliona Kononova creates her pieces like sculptural works of art; shoulders are pointed and ruched and dresses are sliced, gathered and asymmetrically aligned. Most notably is Kononova's avant garde take on feminine accessories. Her evening bags resemble imagined exercising dumbbells that you would find in a futurist era; long black pursers with bulky square ends and a grip in the middle. The numbers one and two are printed starkly on each accessory.
The Moe Spring/Summer 2013 line is an unconventional collection of garments. It reflects the designer's eclectic vision and abstractedly looks at fashion as an ongoing exploration of identity.
