Much like the indoor variety, modular outdoor furniture can prove to be quite convenient for the consumer due to its minimalist nature and availability for customization. A new collection is put forth by London-based studio Barber and Osgerby who looked to fuse contemporary aesthetics with flexible functionality. The designs were handed over to outdoor furniture brand Dedon.
The modular outdoor furniture boasts a stainless-steel frame and removable upholstered cushions. Barber and Osgerby make a single-, a two-, and a three-seater module available. While these modules can be set up in different configurations that sidestep aesthetic and spatial limitations, the pieces also boast other custom-friendly opportunities like "different options for positioning a tubular armrest and backrest," and so on.
