This dramatic duo has produced a series of photographic reenactments of iconic portraits. The series of seven images features modernized models inspired from originals paintings. Each model representing a different image is shown as a reflection of the original portrait featuring a pair of signature Christian Louboutin shoes or handbags. The Peter Lippmann images of the original portraits and the replica are remarkable as captioned in the lighting of the original image.
My favorite is the image of Madame Au Pigalili’s gold spiked shoes (with the red sole) and sequined clutch both resemblance of Francois Clouet, "Elizabeth of Austria." The detailing of this image is amazing.
