Inviting Winter Retreats

The Modern Cabin GJ-9 by Gudmundur Jonsson Architect is Warmly Welcoming

Being a born and raised Canadian, the Modern Cabin GJ-9 by Gudmundur Jonsson Architect speaks to my inner love for inviting winter retreats. The cabin is located in Bjergøy, Norway and boasts clean lines that are created using simple wood and stone materials.

Nestled just off a quant river, the Modern Cabin GJ-9 by Gudmundur Jonsson Architect is quite modern without appearing overbearing. That's one qualm I have about modern architecture: it can sometimes appear too perfect to live in. However, that's no issue with the Modern Cabin GJ-9 because it's modern, but at the same time relaxed to emphasis that while in it, there's plenty of time to read a book, nestle by the fire or take a stroll outside during a sunny, but chilly winter morn.
