Mobile AIR is a Berlin-based not-for-profit Artist in Residence program that fosters creative expression and travel with a small mobile artist studio. The framework for the 6.5 square meter space is borrowed from an old house trailer. The tiny house doubles as a working and living space that can be transported and parked in various locations during the program term. The off-the-grid project offers the artistic individual a change of scenery when needed, a bigger and distinct audience base, as well as muses and inspirations that can only be accessed when on the road.
The mobile artist studio allows individuals participating in the program to choose their desired location of residency—an upgrade from the traditional model, at no cost in terms of education, experience or functionality.
