The Micro-Apartment Moabit is a spectacular piece of architectural genius conceived by Berlin-based design and architecture studio Spamroom. This space consists of an apartment somehow crammed into 21 square meters of room, by virtue of intelligent use of vertical space and smart design.
The highlight of this smartly conceived living space is a central unit that splits the unit lengthways. One side of the unit features a corridor kitchen with huge windows that provide lots of sunlight. Overhead cupboards offer significant storage space without taking up undue amounts of room, while appliances are designed to be extra-compact.
The unit's height is taken advantage of by a mezzanine floor that acts as a sleeping space and has shelving space for books and for laptop use.
The Micro-Apartment Moabit is a great example of smart architecture, and proves that compact living can still be elegant and comfortable.
